Trap Doors

Star Wars III was indeed good. I now look forward to watching the old ones again, knowing their background.

I stopped at Meijer on my way home. As I was walking into the store I saw a fellow standing inches away from one of the doors looking very confused and possibly fearful that he had in fact been trapped inside the store by a mysterious unknown force. Fortunately he was able to escape by…

Actually, I should also tell you what I saw as I was leaving. A lovely young couple, caught in a similar predicament, looking around, perhaps in embarrassment because they too had fallen into the trap. But be assured, they were eventually able to disentangle themselves from this terrible plight.

The answer to this riddle is that people aren’t too bright. There are two exit doors, one opens automatically and the other is one of the ‘old-fashioned,’ manual, brute force, push-to-open types. I would advise anyone brave enough to enter any given store to be wary of these dangerous obstacles, they are bloodthirsty villains. Also, should you be caught, pretend that the door just plain doesn’t work at all or is locked and go to another door, that way you don’t appear to be illiterate, as the people I saw earlier apparently were.

At Riverview

Sitting in the booth at riverview right now, listening to Dan Price give a message about diaper rash. It’s a rare treat, he only speaks like once or twice a year. The paradox this week is basically that God is good but bad things still happen. So… diaper rash still happens, and people get decapitated in Iraq, despite God’s nature. Tara is interpreting for Leslie too, which is more important to me than the fact that Dan is speaking, because a few weeks ago she had a pretty bad experience interpreting at Riverview and now she’s back at it. I’m just impressed and proud of her fortitude.

We’re going to see Star Wars III tonight at 10. I’ve heard it’s a lot better than the ‘first’ two. I’m sure it is, because nobody could mess up their movies [so horribly] twice and not hear about how bad they are from people who care about their welfare. I could understand not believing them the first time, but after the second movie sucking, somebody had to speak up. Apparently he collaborated with Steven Spielberg to work on this third one.

Also, doesn’t George Lucas kind of look like an Ewok? Maybe it’s that the Ewoks look like Lucas.

Red Foreman

Roy from The A-Team

Many of us know Kurtwood Smith as Red Foreman from That ’70s Show. I was watching The A-Team today and noticed him as one of the upper-eschelon goons in season 2 episode 15. Just really great stuff.

A note from God

May the light of My happiness coat you in some sort of heat that makes you feel good, but not too hot.
