Everything seems to be obfuscated today… it could be the $1200+ I spent to get my van fixed. I just feel totally out of it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to have the van back and know there’s a bunch of stuff fixed. It doesn’t feel good pulling money out of savings to do unexpected things, but c’est la vie.

Worked on a few things today at work that were pressing, but spent a few minutes looking at updating the lansingchristianschool.org website on some level or another. I’d like to see it re-designed and trimmed down so that it’s easy to use, aesthetically pleasing and generally a better representation of the school. I might test the layout at lansingchristianschool.net just to see if people like it.

Andy and Erin aren’t coming to LaS tonight, so it will be especially lacking in attendance. Maybe the Eric and Kristie will come out.

Yes, it’s a snow day today, which means I don’t have to go into work, just check on things remotely. It also means that I can take my weirdo van to the place to get it checked out for the trip to Florida (weird coolant leak, etc.) So, today should be productive.

I’ll be at Riv most of the day tomorrow because of the kid’s christmas practice, that should be fun. We’re going to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Sunday night and they supposedly have a really nice lighting setup with their tour.

But now, I have to go shovel the driveway.

UPDATE @ 2:20pm >> Van has a few things wrong with it, one of which is a ball joint issue that sounds expensive.

UPDATE @ 3:15pm >> Looks like the van is gonna be $750. Lower steering column and the rear heating unit plus something with the exhaust.

UPDATE on 12/12 @ 9:38pm >> Wrong again, something is even more wrong with the steering than previously thought. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, just give the repair joint $1200.
