No Decision Yet

The professional in me wants a small laptop that can be thrown around like a very small puppy, but the developer and gamer in me really want to get the 9400 for it’s uber-huge display.

The Dell Inspiron 710m is a sleek and slim machine:
2Ghz Pentium M 755
60GB 5400rpm hard drive
1GB RAM
12inch WXGA TrueLife display
b/g wireless
CD-RW/DVD-RW
Connectors: S-video, VGA, 2 USB, PCMCIA, secure digital, network, modem, firewire
$1,051 w/ 1 year warranty

But the Dell Inspiron 9400 is a powerhouse with a huge display:
1.66Ghz Intel Core Duo Processor T2300 (Dual Core)
60GB 5400rpm hard drive
1GB RAM
17inch WUXGA TrueLife display
256MB NVidia GeForce Go 7800
b/g wireless & BlueTooth
CD-RW/DVD-RW (with DVD+R compatibility)
Connectors: S-video, DVI, VGA, 6 USB, ExpressCard slot, 5in1 card reader, network, firewire
$1,600 w/ 1 year warranty

  1. Ok, here are a few more ideas for a laptop… also one thing I did notice is that the Dell website and the alienware website look strangly familiar… yea.

    Area-51 m5700

    Acer Ferrari 4005WLMi

    AVERATEC-AV3500T60-TABLET-PC

There now i have submitted the most ideas therefore i should win the golden paper clip and $2 bill

  2. Dell is weird… this week the 9400 with those specs is like $2000 instead of $1600. I wonder if it’ll go back down to $1600 next week?
