SanDisk Cruzer Micro

I ordered this little fella a few days ago and he’s just arrived.

Cruzer Micro

It’s a 1GB thumb drive and it comes with a couple extra skins in case you happen to be wearing hot pink or electric blue and you need it to match your ridiculous getup. I used to lose my old thumb drive for weeks at a time, but this one is small enough that I can keep it on my keychain without feeling like I’ve got one of those summer-camp plastic keychain deals hanging off my belt. You know what I’m talking about.

“But Nate,” you say, “Being the geek you are, don’t you already have a thumb drive?”

and my response is “Yes, now I do.”

  1. How much was it?

And as more people and places are connected with the web, do you think that less and less people will carry thumb drives and go in favor of online storage?

  2. That is soooo cool! I think a person could
look like a fashion techie with one of those
    things, eh?

  3. The device in question cost somewhere around $50, but I think they’re a bit cheaper on Ebay.
I think the common populous will start trading disks and thumb drives for online storage when a very easy solution becomes available. As techs, though, it will years before we can depend on internet access for storage means… it’s just too fickle.

  4. Boondoggle key chains?
I already made like infinity of those at scout camp.

  5. Hmmm… I still like my swiss army knife style one better. Because I can cut you and steal your info all in one fell swoop! Though it is not 1G. ah well. Maybe I can upgrade?

  6. Yeah, those only cost twice as much, I should’ve gotten one of those.
