After months of planning, fundraising, and planning some more, then ordering… actual events are taking place.  Last week the monitors for the elementary computer lab were delivered.  Yesterday the server and the thin clients were dropped off (by a fairly abusive UPS driver.)  And today the keyboards arrived.  I spent today installing the OS on the server and configuring terminal services.  My techs covered the first round of settings on the thin clients.

There’s some left to do tomorrow, most of all getting the software loaded on the server that they’ll need to be able to use.  The machines in the lab will get replaced during spring break (in about a week and a half), but I’m hoping to have everything totally ready by the end of this week.  By my calculations my laptop should arrive early next week.
