Lost

I stopped eating most ‘fast food’ a few years ago; not because I was compelled to stop for health reasons but because I came to perceive a cheap greasy burger food substance as being gross. For the most part I also stopped drinking soda (though I do sometimes indulge). It is expensive and does not render any real benefit to the user. Despite cutting these unhealthy substances out of my ‘diet’ I observed very little positive side effect.

About six months ago I came to the realization that I was only eating one or two meals a day. I decided to start eating at least three times a day, even if it wasn’t “meals”. Since that time, having made only that one conscious change, I have lost almost forty pounds. I don’t think I’ve weighed this little (which isn’t little, really) in about eight years.

What would be a good normal weight that I should be shooting for?

  1. I had the same experience! I cut out most consumption of fast food and soda (I find it rather useless as well) a long time ago but I didn’t really start losing weight until I realized I needed to eat more.

I’m sorry, that doesn’t answer your question does it?

  2. Eating right and losing weight is something that I’ve been thinking about. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
